I was honoured to be chosen by Cruelty Free International as their Parliamentarian of the Month for October 2018. I have been working closely with CFI for several years now, supporting their campaigns to end unnecessary animal testing.
Most recently I have been asking the Home Office for clarification on their guidance for universities on animal testing, as well as asking whether they will introduce legislation to regulate the testing on animals for ingredients in household products. I also recently asked the Department of International Trade about whether discussions have taken place with Chinese officials to end unnecessary ad hoc cosmetics testing.
