Yesterday, after triggering Article 50, the Government set out its plans to combine forty-odd years of EU law into British statute, using far-reaching powers to change laws at a whim - enjoyed by the likes of King Henry VIII - which could be dangerous for our parliamentary democracy.

The Prime Minister and her ministers could try and change up to 1,000 existing laws by backdoor methods. If taking back control was about restoring the sovereignty of the UK Parliament, this is clearly nothing of the sort.
