Marvin Rees, the Mayor of Bristol, recently launched his Clean Streets initiative, which will this weekend be coordinating a series of Spring Clean events. I regularly hear from and help constituents with issues like litter and fly-tipping, and will be joining community groups across east Bristol this weekend.

It is advised to bring your own strong gloves, and wear suitable clothing and footwear. All other equipment including litter pickers, waste sacks and high visibility jackets will be provided.

Friday 3 March
10am: Eastville, Trendlewood Park
4pm – 6pm: Eastville, meeting under the M32 underpass (by the Skatepark, opposite the M32 Café)

Saturday 4 March
10am: St George, meeting near the telephone box at the junction of Marling Road and Bell Hill Road (opposite the petrol station)
10am – 12 noon: Brislington, meeting in Repton Road car park
12 noon – 2pm: Eastville, meeting under the M32 underpass (by the Skatepark, opposite the M32 Café) 
2pm – 4pm: Hillfields, meeting outside St Peter’s Hospice Shop, corner of Lodge Causeway and Forest Road
2:30pm – 4pm: Frome Vale, meet in Fishponds Park

Sunday 5 March
Morning: Snuff Mills
10am: St George, meeting outside St George Park Gates, Church Road
12 noon – 2pm: Eastville, meeting under the M32 underpass (by the Skatepark, opposite the M32 Café)
2pm – 4pm: Hillfields, meeting outside St Peter’s Hospice Shop, corner of Lodge Causeway and Forest Road
