05 Feb 2010
Following a review of past Additional Cost Allowances (ACA) Payments, Sir Thomas Legg has now published his 'First Report of Session 2009 - 2010'.  This is a "Report to the Members Estimate Committee of the Review by Sir Thomas Legg KCB QC of the validity of payments of the Additional Costs (or ‘Second Homes’) Allowance made to Members of Parliament during the years 2004-05 to 2008-09, with recommendations for repayment."

It states that Kerry has nothing to pay back.  This reiterates what it stated in the letter she received in October which said:

“In your case, having examined the records in light of my interpretation of the rules and standards in force at the time, I have not identified any payments made to you under the ACA during the review period which I consider call for any repayment or further supporting evidence to be provided by you. Accordingly, my conclusion is that no action is required from you in this matter.”
