19 May 2009

Kerry has today published the full details of her Additional Cost Allowance (ACA) expenses, more commonly known as the 2nd home allowance, for the financial years 2005-6, 2006-7, and 2007-8. Please click on the links at the bottom of the story in order to view the full details of Kerry's expenses. Please note that if you have dial-up or a slow internet connection these documents may crash your computer.

This information will be published by the House of Commons authorities in mid-June, but Kerry has taken the step of putting this information into the public domain earlier (hence the sometimes poor quality of some of the scanned documents). Kerry will also be publishing details of her claim from the last financial year, 2008-09 when this information is available, as well as details of her office costs expenditure.

NB: some people have been having problems accessing these documents, depending on which Windows viewer they have. I will try to rectify this, but in the meantime, please try right-clicking on the link and using 'Save Target As' and then opening the document with another program such as PaintShopPro - which may work.

Postscript
. After posting these expenses online Kerry spotted she may have inadvertently claimed for an item of furniture which was ordered but was out of stock and thus never delivered. As a result she has spoken to the Fees Office and has sent them a payment of £402.
